Maximize Your Time & Life

Dr. David Jockers DC, MS, CSCS

Exodus Health Center
Time by Man – focused on what pleases us in the moment - little/no regard for the future

Time By God –focusing on what is pleasing to God & building the future of our dreams.

MAN’S WAY                                                 GOD’S WAY
Reactive                                                           Proactive
Procrastination                                                 Well planned
Survival Based                                                 Mission Based
Self-centered                                                    God-centered
Stressful                                                           Peaceful

“The fruit of righteousness is peace, the effect of righteousness is quietness and confidence forever.”                                      Isaiah 55:11

Just take a moment and imagine yourself proud, successful, and confident with who you are and what you represent.  You wake up each morning knowing that there is divine purpose to your life.  You immediately begin and end each day by humbling yourself before God and reconnecting to the spirit that calls out to you from deep within.

You challenge your body, mind, and spirit to continually adapt and grow through regular exercise, education, & focused mental imagery.  You step into each component of your life fully present & conscious – so that every area gets your best.  You’re at 100% for your family, for your career, for your educational path, for your missionary work, etc.  At the end of the day you rest your head on the pillow with 0 regrets.

Our time on this planet is so preciously short, how we utilize each moment we are allotted is a direct derivative of the level of success, happiness, and world-changing impact we have during the course of our lives.

Effective Time management is the key that makes everything work in your life

There is always enough time to get the important things done.  The problem is never the lack of time; the problem is the lack of time management.  Time management is working from the inside out on your life, instead of working on your life from the outside in.  Over time, this will create fewer and smaller issues and emergencies, allowing you to continue focusing more of your time on what you are passionate about and who and what is important to you.

Live the life you were intended too by learning how to be a disciplined steward of your time/resources and allow the fruitful blessings of such a life to blossom in full.

Energize Your Life

Dr. David Jockers DC, MS, CSCS              Exodus Health Center

Are You Satisfied With Your Life, Health, & Energy Levels?

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Jeremiah 29:11

From my experience, most people in society let excuses get in the way of truly reaching out towards their goals and dreams.  It crushes me every time I see this, knowing that the individual is going to continue to fall victim to the same patterns and create the same undesireable results. The goods news is that doesn’t have to be you!

God created our bodies with an incredible ability to heal and rejuvenate ourselves. He created our physical cells, tissues, & organs to adapt around a state of homeostasis.  Homeostasis refers to the ability of an organism to maintain equilibrium by adjusting its physiological processes. When our bodies are moving toward homeostasis – great things happen.  When we are moving away from homeostasis, we are building sickness & disease.

Health = A state of Purity & Sufficiency at the cellular level
Disease = A state of Toxicity or Deficiency at the cellular level

The key to regaining and maintaining health is to provide purity and sufficiency at the cellular level.  The key problems I most often find include:
  1. Acidic, Inflammatory Diet: The ideal internal pH is 7.365. If your blood’s pH rises or falls one tenth of a pH unit, it’s cause for a visit to a hospital’s intensive care unit.  If blood pH moves two tenths either way, it’s lethal.  *The body does whatever it must in order to maintain a steady blood pH*
Result:  Alkaline minerals are stripped from:
Our bones & teeth (calcium)         Our muscles & nerves (potassium)
Our arteries (magnesium)              Our joints (sodium)
Excess acidity = stored in fat cells
  1. Movement Deficiency:  Proper movement is essential to all life.  Not only does it nourish your body with oxygen, but it literally feeds your cerebellum (the seat of higher maturity) through proprioceptive (movement sensation) input from the body.  .The combination of oxygen and proprioceptive nourishment rev up your body’s natural energy stores creating greater efficiency and liveliness
  1. High Stress:  Chronic stress causes an increase in the hormone cortisol which leads to glucose sparing, protein catabolism, inflammation, acid-formation, weight gain & fatigue.
  1. Poor Sleeping Habits:  Human growth hormone is known for its amazing ability to build lean body tissue & burn fat.  Many bodybuilders & athletes go to risky extremes to supplement their bodies with HGH.  However, your body will naturally supply all it needs with optimal sleeping habits such as being in bed by 10pm and waking by sunrise.
  1. Deficient Nerve Supply:  Subluxations such as forward head posture, loss of cervical curve, and lateral deviations in the spine (scoliosis) put tremendous stress on the brain-body connection affecting every organ in the body including the thyroid, adrenals, & gut. This causes numerous pathological consequences in the body including among others: poor nutrient absorption, metabolic irregularities, poor sleep, weight gain &  fatigue.
  1. NeuroToxicity:   Heavy metal toxicity from vaccines & amalgam fillings as well as biotoxins such as household molds alters your metabolic control center the hypothalamus.
  1. Dehydration:  Water is the conduit of all life and the most essential nutrient (oxygen) to every metabolic function.  90% of society is currently dehydrated with 70% suffering unknowingly from dehydration induced symptoms on a regular basis.
  1. Poor Sunlight & Vitamin D levels:  Sunlight is a generator for nearly all life on earth.  We are dependent on it for production of vitamin D, which acts as a powerful pro-hormone that stimulates endocrine function, balancing hormones and healthy immune responses.  Deficiencies in this essential nutrient may also lead to depression, memory problems, & lowered cognitive responses.

a.       Sugar causes B vitamins,  calcium, magnesium, & zinc among other things to be leached from the body.
b.      Sugar also creates an acidic environment & impairs the immune response.
c.       Sugar feeds opportunistic organisms that create disease in our bodies.

    3. Apple Cider Vinegar:  Contains natural alkaline minerals that enhance fat-burning. – Use a tablespoon in water 2x daily for an energy boost.

     11.   Ferment Your Vegetables:
1)   Secret Key to Fermentation = Fully submerged in liquid*
2)      Chop and/or grate vegetables to create greater surface area
3)      Provide a liquid medium:  solvent for fermentation process
4)      Lots of salt, creates an osmotic effect that draws water out of vegetables.  Also, the salt prevents anaerobic bacteria formation, thus preserving the food.
5)   Try 3 Tbsp per 5 lbs of vegetable.
More salt = slower fermentation
Less salt = faster fermentation
